This season we’ve made some big changes to the Open format based on member feedback. We know getting knocked out in the first round and packing up before lunch isn’t much fun, so starting this season, every surfer in Open is guaranteed a minimum of TWO surfs.

There are three pathways:

A Grade – Self-nominate if you’re chasing the top of the podium.

B Grade – Self-nominate for your chance to surf against your peers and chase a win. B Grade will kick off after 9am.

Aussie Mongrels – Knocked out in Round 1? You’re not done. Every A and B Grade first-round loser will go straight into the Mongrels for another shot at redemption, with its own semi-final and final.

Once you nominate for a grade, your grade is locked in for the season, so choose wisely.

Event 1 is currently pencilled in for Saturday 10 October. We’re keeping an eye on the forecast and, if conditions look better, we may move to the Sunday backup day. We’ll keep everyone updated closer to the event.

Entries close Thursday 8 October at 8pm. There will be no late entries and no exceptions, so don’t leave it until the last minute.
