PIBC are giving the surfing community the opportunity to come together to buy, swap and sell their new and used surf gear with the return of our “Surf Swap Meet” to be held at the club on Saturday, 12 April. Surfers and surfboard collectors must not miss this opportunity to find a bargain, extend their quiver or simply hang out and talk surfing.

  • Attendance at the “Surf Swap Meet” is absolutely free.

  • Come along for your chance to win some epic prizes, listen to some tunes and enjoy a cold one or two. (eftpos available on the bar.)

  • Methods of payment for goods at stalls may include: cash, bank transfers for lager amounts, or gear swaps. So be ready for any and all of the above.

  • Bring your own folding tables and/or chairs to set up your stall.

Surf Swap Meet - Terms and Conditions for Stallholders and Donors


The PIBC Surf Swap Meet is a community-driven event where individuals can sell, swap, or donate surf-related gear. By participating as a stallholder or donor, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

Stallholder Terms

  • Stallholders must register in advance to secure a designated space.  Use QR code.

  • Stallholders will be allocated either a 3x3m or 6x6m area in the PIBC car park, depending on availability and request.

  • A stallholder fee applies: $5 for members and $20 for non-members.

  • Stallholders are responsible for setting up and packing down their stalls within the designated event times.

  • All items for sale or trade must be related to surfing (e.g., boards, wetsuits, surf culture, history and or accessories) or food and coffee.

  • Stallholders must ensure all items are safe, and accurately described to buyers.

  • PIBC is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged goods.

  • Stallholders must comply with all relevant local laws and regulations.

 

Donor Terms

  • Money raised from donated items will go towards the PIBC junior development program.

  • PIBC reserve the right to refuse any donated items that are deemed unsuitable.

  • Donors understand that donated items may be resold, swapped, or given away at the event.

  • Once an item is donated, ownership transfers to PIBC.

 

Liability and Indemnity

  • PIBC are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event.

  • Participants agree to the T&Cs and hold no claims arising from their participation.

 

Code of Conduct

  • All participants must conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly.

  • Disruptive behaviour, including aggressive bargaining or misconduct, will not be tolerated.

  • PIBC reserve the right to remove any participant who does not comply with these terms.

 

Cancellation and Refunds

  • If the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, PIBC may refund stallholder fees.

  • No refunds will be issued for voluntary withdrawals.

 

Amendments

  • PIBC reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
